It started out four years ago... three lovely ladies with very fun personalities, while on vacation in Maui stumbled upon an intriguing bead shop. It was love at first sight... and, as veteran shoppers we did what we do best... bought the beads! But, then we had to figure out what to do with our purchases!

Alas, Bella Collana was born! We began by creating necklaces, earrings and bracelets that we could give as gifts to our friends and family. They loved everything we made.

As the years went along we found beautiful handmade beads by extraordinary artists in and around the San Diego area... and, discovered they were as interesting and fun as the beads themselves. Each piece of jewelry seemed more special knowing the glass artists personally. (see our "Links" page to find some of our special bead artists and other fun people we know.)

Each piece is "One-Of-A-Kind," so you'll know you have an original.

Discovering the "Tuscon Bead Fair" has expanded our buying to handcrafted bead artisans from the far corners of the United States.

Our business has taken off so fast we can hardly keep up... but, we do because we enjoy creating so much.

We have been doing home shows through recommendations by our friends to their friends and their friends to their friends and... We have a very close relationship with our customers, and have custom made items for special outfits or occasions such as weddings... Now we have decided that we would like to expand and share our art!
